Mora Tlalli came to the Hollow Court as a scribe who had transcribed ten thousand names of the dying, and found among the fae a way to make those names breathe again—in her own throat, behind her own teeth. She became exquisite at wearing the dead, at speaking in voices that had been silenced by obsidian blades, until the Court commanded her to consume a child's identity whole and living. Her refusal cost her her rank but not her collection; she arrived at the Lodge carrying the names of the discarded in a leather book that whispers at night.
