Maara, the Leather Road
She comes from a Caribbean coast where salt air carries old songs and grandmothers know which spirits ride the wind and which ones you feed under the table. Maara grew up hearing drum-prayers, river blessings, stories about people who crossed oceans and kept their power anyway. She wears leather because she has travelled, hustled, protected people who did not know they were in danger. Her magic is rhythm and command: "stand there," "watch that door," "hold this line." She brings defence, road-sense, spirit-respect to the sisterhood. She is the one who says "we keep this secret," and everyone simply agrees.
