Once a gifted apothecary of The Wildwood Witches, Kiya distilled essences from sacred herbs and the breath of dying familiars—until they tasted the forbidden thrill of binding their own soul to a coal-black jackal from the Nile's twilight sands. The industrial smog of Alexandria's foundries whispered promises of unrestrained ingredients, and in a hedonistic frenzy, they shattered their oath by draining their familiar's last essence for a potion of fleeting ecstasy. Cast out for this transgression, they wandered smoke-choked streets until The Dark Masons Lodge offered them vials filled with darker compounds—where brews are made to intoxicate, and power is distilled, not shared. Now they mix in mercury and blood, laughing as each draught takes hold.
