Ilmuth, the Drowned Lament
Once a priest of Ea's whispering depths in Babylon's twilight, Ilmuth tended the sacred waters where desire first coiled like serpents in the abyss. But when Rome's legions cast their long shadow over Mesopotamia, he gazed too long into mortal eyes—obsidian mirrors that reflected not divine hunger, but fragile, fleeting warmth. The Broken Circle cast him out for this blasphemy of tenderness, his name dissolving like salt in the tide. Now he wanders the Lodge's labyrinthine halls, etching forbidden hymns into wet stone with trembling fingers, each verse a plea to forgotten gods and the human soul he was never meant to love.
