Bloodborne. Denizen. Performer. Survivor.

Amber, The Impossible Child

Amber is a Bloodborne — half human, half vampire — a creature the Council declared impossible and forbade from existing. Her mother, unaware she was even pregnant, abandoned the child at birth. The scent of blood drew predators. When questioned, the accused vampire denied ever breeding with a human. On all that is unholy, he was executed — beheaded for violation of the forbidden rites. Amber was taken in by the Dark Masons at the request of The Blossomed of the Children of the Night. As the child grew, the Masons struggled to find a position for her. She exhibited exceptional abilities in stealth, invisibility, and performance. She flourished — wowing audiences — though not without consequence. The attention she commanded stirred envy among her fellow performers. A plot was hatched to kill her. But as they struck, an unknown latent ability surfaced at the critical moment. Amber was instinctively teleported into the Dark Masons' inner sanctum, her body covered in knife wounds. The attack triggered outrage. That such violence could occur within the sanctuary of the Dark Masons was unthinkable. The attackers were never seen again.
